SolOSIRENS FESTIVAL 2026 - THE BEING WELL

29 October - 12 December, The Civic, Tallaght.

What do we as individuals, society, and a planet, need to be truly well? 


Explore community, connection, resilience and hope with us in SoloSIRENs’ third festival at the Civic. Over four weekends from October 29 to December 12, the festival presents performances, works-in-progress, conversations, installations and free workshops. 


A space for artists and audiences to imagine how we can co-create ways of living better together.


Join us for one show, one weekend, or the whole festival to be part of the ongoing conversation.


Tickets: €18 & €16 concession. Saturday workshops free but booking is essential.

Festival Opening Party

Join us to celebrate the start of the Being Well Festival in style!

The Gathering Well Workshop with Céline Thobois-Gupta and Martha Cosgrove

Saturday 31 October, 12pm-3pm              

Civic Theatre Studio


This embodied and material workshop opens the festival by attuning participants to their sources of wellness and their environments, exploring wells and the more-than-human meanings of wellbeing through movement and zines. The workshop creates pathways for conversations and reflections around the festival's theme, which sets the stage for festival artists and audiences to share ideas and experiences for the following weeks. 


Workshop is free, but registration is necessary.

Festival Week Two

Double Bill: Moon Face and It's a Girl!

Thursday 12 & Friday 13 Nov, 7.30pm

Civic Theatre Studio


Two premiere pieces from local SoloSIRENs artists, a reading of ‘Moon Face’ by Michelle Henry and a performance of ‘It’s a Girl!’ by Neltah Chadamoyo. With humour, honesty and powerful, personal observation, these works ask what it means to be well in each body.


Both show nights will feature a post-show discussion.

Double Bill: #Mil4Millie and Capitalism: The Musical

Sunday 15 November, 6pm

Civic Theatre Main Stage


Two dynamic ensemble performances take to the main stage. #Mil4Millie from ROOTS Youth Theatre, and Deirdre Murphy’s Capitalism: The Musical, tackle questions of power, connection, resistance and transformation. What is the world we live in and what is the world we hope to create?


Followed by a post-show discussion.

Festival Week THREE

Double Bill: Back Home and Grandad & Guinness

Wednesday 25 & Thursday 26 Nov, 7.30pm 

Civic Theatre Studio


Two solo performances, ‘Back Home’ by Masha Khaleeva and Daria Holovchanska, and ‘Grandad & Guinness’ by Wandering Stories. Moving through layers of land and history, these stories explore the role of place, memory and family in understanding ourselves and our connections with each other.


Both show nights will feature a post-show discussion.

Festival Week FOUR

Woven

Thursday 10 & Friday 11 Dec, 7.30pm

Civic Theatre Studio


An original physical theatre and storytelling performance co-created by SoloSIRENs intercultural, intergenerational women’s collective.


Inspired by the festival performances and workshops, the collective presents a new work that is both a response to and integration of festival themes, and a provocation for further exploration. 


Woven explores how myth, nature, culture and connection support and inspire us to deepen our roots and expand our vision together.


Both performances will be followed by a post-show discussion.

Ripples and Reflections Workshop with the SoloSIRENs Collective

Saturday 12 Dec, 2pm-5pm

Civic Theatre Studio


A theatre and movement workshop led by the SoloSIRENs Collective. The workshop is an opportunity for artists and attendees to reflect together on their festival experiences and discoveries. A final harvesting of community and connection and a chance  to consider what our learning can inspire beyond the festival. 


Workshop is free, but registration is necessary.
